In 2003, a new self-service banking equipment boasting various functions, such as
depositing and drawing banknotes, depositing coins instantaneously, depositing
personal cheques and printing bills appeared for the first time in China. |
In 2004, CBPMC became a shareholder of SMI Technologies (Beijing) Co., Ltd., which
was solely funded by SMI HK. The name of the company was changed into CBPM-SMI
Banknote Processing Technologies (Beijing) Co., Ltd. |
In 2006, KEBA Corporation officially became a shareholder of CBPM-SMI and set up
production lines for self-service machines in China. The name of the company was
changed into CBPM-KEBA Banknote Processing Technologies (Beijing) Co., Ltd. |
